(Mount Sterling) – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is looking for people with a passion for conservation to help with trail improvements. Deer Creek State Park is inviting people to volunteer for a series of trail revitalization events.
“We are committed to providing excellent recreation and trail conditions for all our visitors” ODNR Chief of the Division of State Parks and Watercraft Glen Cobb said. “Volunteers are a valued part of this process, and we urge everyone who wants to keep our natural spaces safe, protected, and accessible to come out and help.”
These events will be led by a naturalist who will walk volunteers through different forms of trail maintenance that are required. Naturalists are looking for help with invasive species removal, tree planting, trail maintenance, and general cleaning, to name a few.

22300 State Park Road 20
