Unioto Grabs SVC Golf Match #5 To Close Ranks On Westfall

Unioto Boys Golf made up ground on SVC front-runner Westfall by winning Match #5 at Big Beaver Course Wednesday, while the Mustangs finished fourth. With that shake-up, Westfall’s lead in the standings dropped to one point with Match #6 slated for Chillicothe Jaycees on September 20th.

The Shermans fired a team score of 169 on Wednesday, match runner-up Piketon at 176, Zane Trace 177 and Westfall in fourth place at 179. Westfall still holds the SVC standings lead with 37 points, but Unioto dashes up to 36 points.

Unioto’s Keegan Snyder and Piketon’s Brevin Wooldridge were co-medalist in Match #5, shooting a 39.
