New Movie Production Using Chillicothe For Some Film Scenes

Presented By Rathkamp Financial

Chillicothe, Ohio is not a newcomer in being used as a scene backdrop or mentioned in a motion picture, and that is continuing June 1st-2nd for a new movie in production.

“Bones & All” is an upcoming American romance-horror film directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by David Kajganich, based on the novel by Camille DeAngelis.

At least two of the scenes for the movie are being filmed at the former Taylor’s IGA store on Eastern Avenue in Chillicothe, according to the building owner Tim Taylor, who spoke about the local filming plans to Litter Media’s Mike Smith.

Portions of Eastern Avenue from the railroad track to the Watt Street intersection, where the vacant store is located, was blocked to through traffic during the day Tuesday and possibly again Wednesday, June 3rd.

The movie is scheduled to star actresses Taylor Russell, Chloe Sevigny and Jessica Harper along with actors Timothee Chalamet, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mark Rylance, Andre’ Holland and David Gordon Green.

According to Film- Blogging The Reel World, the movie is being filmed in the Ohio Tri-State area, which includes a few scenes in Chillicothe.

The blog states the film story line- “Is a story of first love between Maren, a young woman learning how to survive on the margins of society, and Lee, an intense and disenfranchised drifter, as they meet and join together for a thousand-mile odyssey which takes them through the back roads, hidden passages, and trap doors of Ronald Reagan’s America. But despite their best efforts, all roads lead back to their terrifying pasts and to a final stand which will determine whether their love can survive their otherness.”

The website Darkhorizons.com writes- “The cannibalism romance tale “Bones and All” with a new press release for the movie offering more cast and plot details.
