Fairfield Union Boys Regional Cross Country Champ

OHSAA Cross Country Regionals on Saturday saw the Falcons of Fairfield Union winning the Division 2 team championship. The Falcons’ Andrew Walton was also the individual regional champ. The top 25 individual runners also advance, which in our area includes Unioto’s Caden Larue in 21st, Corbin Winkle of Hillsboro 22nd, Samuel Boyd of Vinton County 23rd, and Ashton Helmbright of Bloom Carroll 24th in D-2.

Division 2 Girls saw Athens as D-2 Regional runner-up. Sophia Szolosi was the individual champion. Unioto’s Cameron Walker was Regional runner-up. Other individual qualifiers for D-2 Girls include Anna Conrad of Fairfield Union, Maddux Bigam of Circleville, Westfall’s Caitlyn Shipley, and Paisley Turner of Waverly.

In Division 3 Boys, Landen Eyre of Whiteoak is individual Regional champ and Adena’s Ryan Richendollar is Regional runner-up. Vanessa Conley of Adena also qualified for the state meet in Division 3.

In Division 1 Lancaster Boys and Girls had qualifiers, with Marisa Heil placing third.
