(Chillicothe) – One hundred seventy years ago this April 1st, more than a quarter of Chillicothe burned in the worst disaster to befall the thriving canal town.
Join local guide Kevin Coleman in a walking tour of part of the “burned district” to explore the architecture and history of the time of the “Great Fire of 1852” and its aftermath.
The tour ends in an open house in Chillicothe’s fire museum, Phoenix Fire Company Number 2, at 68 East Second Street.
The walking tour with Coleman will be April 3rd between 2pm-4pm, starting at the NW corner West Second Street near Walnut Street.
