(Chillicothe) – The Chillicothe Parks & Recreation Department is evaluating the potential for repaving a portion of the Paint Creek Recreational Trail, also known as the Chillicothe Floodwall Bike Path.
The Parks and Recreation Department is currently working on applying for a grant to help with the costs of the repair.
In order to include public opinion into the project, the City of Chillicothe has set up a public information session to discuss the grant with the community. The session will be held Monday, March 28th between 6:30pm-7pm at Chillicothe City Council Chambers at 26 South Paint Street in Chillicothe.
If awarded, the grant will provide $150,000 toward the project , as well as enrich the community by providing a higher quality recreational trail.
Residents are invited to reach out at any time by emailing parks@chillicotheoh.gov or by calling (740) 772-5626 for additional information.
